About me

Me_Montezuma_croppedmoreHi, I’m Christina Williamson, an atmospheric scientist specializing in understanding aerosols and clouds. I currently work as a postdoctoral researcher at NOAA in the Earth System Research Laboratory in Boulder, Colorado. I’m funded by CIRES at the University of Colorado, Boulder.

At the moment I’m on the ATom mission with NASA, where I will measure aerosol size distributions around the world in a series of pole-to-pole flights, as part of a team studying the impact of human-produced air pollution on greenhouse gases and on chemically reactive gases in the atmosphere.

My doctoral work at the Goethe University of Frankfurt am Main was with the CLOUD collaboration at CERN, where I studied aerosol nucleation and growth in a chamber environment.
